Weekend Times

...Spent the weekend at dinner with friends, then shopping at The Alley downtown for a dress. I bought some pants that are too big and a dress I stopped liking after a few days. Me and a friend tried on wigs and I was brunette Taylor Swift for like five minutes! Sunday was the usual after church gathering at my house, pretending to watch tv and getting over excited about my birthday weekend. Tuesday me and Henry took a tiny road trip down to Ontario to hang out with sister Robyn and her kidlets. The babes seemed to have a lot of fun staring, grabbing on, poking, and laughing at each other. We had Kenny Rogers Roasters for lunch which I had no idea still existed. Kind of brought me back to family times on St. George Boulevard. Yesterday I took my friend to the airport so he can jet off to London, first class! Anyway... now I'm trying to eBay my non returnable dress. Wish me luck!

Today I...

Woke up at 5:30 am and snoozed my alarm. Then I woke up at 5:35, put on my makeup halfway, straightened my hair, got dressed and walked across the backyard to work! While Henry slept I fed the dogs, made the Boss' bed and ate breakfast. Henry woke up. I fed him breakfast and let him play while I folded laundry. At 8:30 we strolled down the block to Henry's music class and doodled around in Rite Aid until it started. Henry's music teacher still thinks I'm his Mom. At 10:00 class got over and I gave Henry his baba milk. We passed a movie set on the way home. Then, we plopped in the car, bought some groceries and shopped a bit at Ulta before eating lunch at Baja Fresh. Henry's lunch was better than mine... I got mistaken for Henry's mom two more times. When we got home, I put Henry down for a nap, then put the groceries away, rolled the garbage to the street, unloaded the dishwasher, and switched the laundry. I heard Henry make a noise so I went upstairs and changed his stinky diaper while he tried to play in his poop. I put him back in his crib. Then I went downstairs and crashed on the couch. I don't hear any noise upstairs! I might fall asleep...

When I'm not playing Mom this is what I do..

THE ROYAL WEDDING

Ahh! The Royal Wedding was perfection and I'm posting my favorite parts just for Adri!

 Awww...
 Hahahahaha!
Love this dress so so much!

Kate and Pippa looked goreous and I die for their dresses. If for only that reason alone, you should care about the Royal Wedding...and the insane looking fascinators.

Springtime!!

Last night I returned home from Easter weekend in Utah! I flew home to celebrate and see the beloved family. Our traditional Saturday Easter picnic had to be held indoors out of the gloom and breeze, but it was still delicious, thanks to the Santa Clara First Ward Cookbook circa 1984 and Momma's wonderous skills. Harrison decided he didn't want to go on an egg hunt this year. I was a little disappointed. But, we dyed some eggys and I think I did an amazing job of hiding Buddy's basket. We also shopped a lot (poor Buddy) and hit the gym, but other than that it was the usual Graf family antics. I ABOUT had a heart attack because I thought I had missed the Royal Wedding. Thanks goodness I was off a week!

welcome to the family Ice Bat...

Cookie monster!

When I lived in St. George, I used to buy bags of Albertson's bakery chocolate chip cookies during the 2 for 1 sale. Now, my favorite is at home from cookie dough so I can get them perfectly soft. I obsess. Last night my friends took me to a place called Diddy Riese near UCLA. So, I found my Albertson's replacement. 3 cookies for $1... And you can buy cookie ice cream sandwiches too, which was a little much even for me, but totally fun to try. YUM!

On the down side, the cookies probably negated my day 1 of Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred.

Picnic!

Saturday was a high of 88 degrees!!! Lucky for me I didn't spend any time at all trapped in my hot box house without air conditioning! I woke up early, made lemon bars, shaved the heck out of my legs and put on shorts for the first time this year. Okay, that's probably a lie, because LA is so good to me, I wore shorts last month. Then I covered myself in sunscreen and got stuck in LA Saturday traffic between buying oreos, an ipod speaker and picking up fried chicken for the Relief Society picnic. We picnicked at Roxbury Park and found out that the city of Beverly Hills has a law against flying kites? Lame. So we flung ourselves around with a giant rubberband. SO FUN! Afterwards me and a couple girls decided to brave beach traffic and went to Santa Monica for some ice cream and pier walking. Disappointed that I didn't find the perfect floppy hat but it was still a fun day!

Also, sharing my first ever attempt at a self-binded blanket. It turned out okay... one corner was a little funky but I think I know how to avoid that next time. This was donated to our Stake's Youth Auction. I have no idea how much it auctioned for, but I'm sure it was highly sought after, right next to the VIP Dancing With the Stars tickets.

Kiss Me

I'm Irish! I'm sitting on my comp in a green shirt with a green bow in my hair listening to Loreena McKennitt! I love love love today and am really sad that I'm missing out on corned beef and cabbage at my Modgie's house, and green food coloring galore :( So to get in the St. Pat's spirit I thought I'd share the memory of my mom and sister Robyn sharing made up Irish blessings in a ridiculous Irish accent and laughing hysterically. I wish you guys were here today with your dumb blessings. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Here's a real Irish blessing...

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
